D.A. Scott Electric Ltd., provides high-quality electrical and technical services within the industrial sector. We are currently seeking a skilled, motivated and licensed 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician. Our team is responsible for the installation of new electrical systems, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing of existing systems in various industrial settings.

Position Overview:

• Read and interpret electric drawings/schematics effectively
• Installation of new electrical systems including circuit breakers, transformers, conductors
• Installation of conduit and wire including bending, pulling and termination of materials
• Inspect existing electrical systems, apparatus and components using appropriate equipment and tools to identify cause of breakdowns and/or preventative maintenance
• Complete work orders efficiently as specified by customer
• Respect and respond to direction provided
• Communicate safety concerns to supervisor
• Ensure all work complies with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and safety standards
• Maintain a safe, clean worksite adhering to site standards
• Work with and maintain all tools and equipment in a safe manner

Requirements:

• Valid 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician license, in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario
• 3-5 years electrical experience in the industrial sector
• Knowledge and understanding of electrical code and workplace safety procedures
• Experience with installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems
• Ability to perform physically demanding work indoors and outdoors
• Ability to work at heights
• Ability to safely operate equipment, hand and power tools related to the trade
• Valid G class driver’s license with clean driving record
• Demonstrate professional communication skills and work practices
• Valid WHMIS, Elevated Work Platform, Health & Safety Awareness training, Working at Heights, First Aid certificates

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $39.00-$43.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
