POSITION OVERVIEW

POWERGROUP Resources on behalf of our client, Willowlee Sod Farms is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Mechanic with a 310T/310S License to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics and possess the necessary qualifications to maintain and repair our fleet of trucks efficiently. As a Truck Mechanic at Willowlee Sod Farms, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our vehicles, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Valid 310S License
  • Valid 310T License (Truck and Coach Technician License) would be considered an Asset.
  • Proven experience as a Truck Mechanic, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings when necessary.
  • Valid G driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities
  • Detecting and diagnosing operating problems in steering mechanisms, engines, transmissions, brakes, engine management systems, suspension systems, electrical/electronic systems, emission control systems, and air conditioning/refrigeration systems
  • Adjusting, overhauling, repairing, and reassembling engines, transmissions, clutches, rear ends, differentials, brakes, drive shafts, and axles.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on company trucks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
  • Using various equipment to diagnose and isolate faults.
  • Keeping up to date on advances in technology and updating skills as necessary
  • Effectively communicating with co-workers, customers, and service managers
  • Reading and interpreting owner/operator/manufacturer manuals and service specifications

    Pay: $32.00-$40.00 per hour
