R Russell Construction Ltd. is a medium-sized civil contractor with over 30 years experience in Municipal, commercial, industrial and institutional construction projects. We are a family owned business serving the London and the surrounding area.
Our growing company requires a heavy diesel mechanic who is also capable of repairing a wide range of civil construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, packers and tractor backhoes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

-Must be an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic (3 Years)
-General ability to perform repairs on LP systems, diesel systems, reading and repairing hydraulic and electrical schematics and systems
-Strong trouble shooting skills
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems
-Must be able to meet safety requirements and follow applicable safety polices
- Working knowledge of the Ministry of Transportation requirements regarding heavy equipment
-Clear communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Able to contribute positively to a quality team environment
- Willingness and desire to learn
- A self-starter and work under minimal supervision
- Work closely with management
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must have 310T Heavy Diesel Mechanic Technician Certification/License
- Knowledge of heavy equipment an asset

Experience:

  • Heavy Diesel Mechanic: 3 years (required
Responsibilities
  • Completing regular service to trucks and trailers (oil changes & PM) as per scheduled intervals
  • Changing tires on trucks and trailers
  • Welding/fabrication and repairs on trucks and trailers
  • Travel to job sites when a repair is required.
  • Timely diagnostics on both trucks and trailers including but not limited to mechanical/electrical and after treatment issues
  • Inspect all brake components during any service and replace or repair any components including diagnosing ABS systems
  • Safe use of equipment, safety procedures and regulations must always be followed
  • Creation of reports once work is complete and place in proper file record.
    -Work on necessary administrative paperwork as required
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $37.00-$38.00 per hour
