Diagnosis and Repair:

• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues on heavy-duty vehicles, and machines including engine problems, brake malfunctions, electrical faults, and transmission issues., hydraulic lines.
• Perform repairs by replacing worn parts, adjusting components, and utilizing specialized tools.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems before they become major issues.

Specialization Areas:

• Diesel Engine Repair: Deep understanding of diesel engine operation, maintenance, and overhaul procedures.
• Electrical Systems: Diagnose and repair complex electrical systems including wiring, sensors, and control modules.
• Air Brake Systems: Expertise in inspecting, adjusting, and repairing air brake components.
• Hydraulic Systems: Knowledge of hydraulic systems used in heavy-duty vehicles.

Important Considerations:

• Licensing: To work as a 310T Mechanic, individuals need to be certified with a 310T license.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues on heavy-duty vehicles, including engine problems, brake malfunctions, electrical faults, and transmission issues.
• Perform repairs by replacing worn parts, adjusting components, and utilizing specialized tools.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems before they become major issues.

Preventative Maintenance:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, fluid level checks, tire pressure monitoring, and lubrication.
• Follow established maintenance schedules to ensure optimal vehicle performance and longevity.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, parts used, and work hours. Input all required information using computer software.
• Complete detailed reports on vehicle conditions and necessary repairs.

Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while working on vehicles.
• Ensure proper use of safety equipment and maintain a clean and organized work area.
