Description

GFL Environmental is looking for a registered 310T Truck & Coach Technician (fully licensed) to join our growing solids team out of our Windsor, ON location. The 310T Truck & Coach Technician will be primarily responsible for preventive maintenance services; inspect diagnosis and repair vehicles and equipment. The position is 5 days per week from Monday to Friday.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • 310 T Truck and Coach License / Registered Level 3 Apprentice
  • Valid “G” driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work
  • Own tools are required
  • Experience with welding will be considered an asset
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Applicants with 3+ years’ experience will be viewed with priority

Responsibilities
  • Performs repairs and preventive maintenance services
  • Performs inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment
  • Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate and assign repairs
  • Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs
  • Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns
  • Conducts safety checks on all vehicles and equipment
  • Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associates with repairing vehicles, documenting part usage and accounting for repair times
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with corporate / OHSA standards
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
  • Working alongside apprentices to provide them with assistance and guidance
  • Other duties as assigned
