QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience in 3D development using Unreal Engine, Blender and/or 3JS.
• Familiarity with WebRTC and real-time communication systems.
• Understanding of AI models in animation, speech, and vision (e.g., Convai, vision APIs).
• Strong portfolio showcasing 3D characters, animations, or interactive media.
• Experience optimizing for various hardware platforms (mobile, embedded systems, robotics, holographic).
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-moving, experimental environment.
• Bonus: Knowledge of shader programming, animation, rigging, and natural language processing.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a 3D Avatar Developer, you’ll take the lead on designing the visual appearance and behavior of our AI avatars. Beyond their look and feel, you’ll also integrate capabilities like sight, hearing and emotion recognition using machine vision and voice processing technologies. Your work will help make our avatars more responsive, relatable, and useful in real-world applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and implement high-quality 3D avatars with expressive facial animations and responsive behaviors.
• Integrate AI models and tools (e.g., Convai, Machine Vision, Model Context Protocol for Agentic Architecture) to give avatars conversational and perceptual abilities.Develop and optimize avatars using Unreal Engine, 3JS, and WebRTC for real-time interactions.
• Ensure seamless performance of avatars across diverse platforms—mobile, robotics, and holographic displays.
• Improvement of loading and response times of Avatars
• Stay current with advances in AI-generated animation, character design, and real-time rendering.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and researchers to bring personality and function together in each avatar.
• Test, debug, and continuously refine avatars for both visual quality and system stability.
• Maintain legacy avatar builds using Metahuman, Unreal Engine and Pixel Streaming.
