POSITION OVERVIEW: 3D MECHANICAL DRAFTER

We are seeking a 3D Mechanical Drafter with a background in Canadian manufacturing and HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing accurate design and fabrication drawings for custom air handling units and related components. This role works closely with Sales Engineers, Designers, and the Production Team to bring complex equipment to life.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3–5 years of experience in equipment design or mechanical drafting in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to produce detailed and accurate Shop drawings with AutoCAD 2D
• Proficient in AutoCAD (Level II or III preferred) with the ability to work in 3D model space.
• 3+ years experience with Autodesk Inventor
• Previous work with HVAC, air handling units, or sheet metal fabrication is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PDF editing tools).
• Must have Canadian work experience in a technical or manufacturing setting.

• Create accurate 2D and 3D fabrication drawings for custom HVAC units using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Design and detail sheet metal and skid layouts for production.
• Understand the operation of HVAC systems, including electric motor-driven fans, blowers
• Mange the projects from inception to completion
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work under tight deadlines, and excellent organizational skills.
• Work independently to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
