MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.

  • Proficiency in programming with C++ and Python for real-time perception system development.

  • Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, computational geometry, probability theory, and optimization.
  • Experience deploying and optimizing computer vision algorithms for production systems.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled 3D Perception / Computer Vision Algorithm Engineer to develop cutting-edge solutions for high-speed pick-and-place robotic applications. The primary goal of this role is to develop solutions for 6DOF Object Localization with high accuracy and efficiency. You will work at the intersection of 3D perception and computer vision, helping to develop robust algorithms that power real-time robotic decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Familiarity with modern 3D sensing modalities like RGB camera, stereo cameras, structured light cameras, LiDARs and time of flight (TOF) cameras.
  • Design and optimize solutions for robust object detection and 6-DoF object localization for high speed robotics applications.
  • Develop and implement 3D perception and computer vision algorithms to accurately detect and identify the edge of plywood in high-speed pick-and-place robotic applications.
  • Research, develop and propose integrated multi-sensor fusion techniques combining multiple sensing modalities for perception improvements.
  • Utilize computer vision and point cloud processing techniques to enhance accuracy and reliability.
  • Optimize perception algorithms for deployment on production hardware, ensuring real-time performance and computational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with robotics, software, and hardware teams to integrate perception algorithms into robotic automation systems.
  • Develop robust testing and evaluation frameworks to ensure algorithm accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency in real-world scenarios.
