We are seeking a 3D Digital Modelling & Visualisation Specialist to join our friendly, experienced GIS & Visualisation team as a 3D Visualisation Consultant. This role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to develop your visualisation skills in a consultancy environment. You will be expected to participate in all aspects of the work carried out, including assisting with generating new business, client liaison, and occasional attendance at public consultation events.
In this role, you will provide visualisation input into projects for all of LUC’s service areas, including planning, ecology and landscape planning and management projects. Your work will be varied, and will include photomontage, 3D modelling, rendering, site photography and image processing.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of projects including Verified Views, Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment, illustrative visualisations, animations and 360s. You will work as part of an innovative and fun team comprising GIS, graphic design, and 3D visualisation experts.
The role includes the opportunity to share and participate actively in the management and ownership of the business through the Employee Ownership Trust, which places full ownership of the company with the employees.

The role is based in LUC’s offices in Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Manchester or Sheffield. We work in a hybrid model with people being in the office a minimum of two days per week. There will also be travel required to visit sites, client offices and other office locations.
Visualisation services have become a common feature in LUCs varied and exciting range of projects. LUC is committed to transparent and accessible information through visual mediums. We are increasing our team size to broaden our capacity and offer our services wherever we can help. You will work alongside 3D visualisers, sitting as part of our GIS and Visualisation team and working on a variety of project types. Typical project types include:
You will work in a variety of software and workflows to achieve these deliverables, with a requirement for accuracy – a good eye for detail is a must!
Involved in all stages of project development from tendering through to completion, the candidate will be expected to participate in all aspects of the work carried out, including assisting with new business generation, client liaison and occasional attendance at public consultation events.
You will work with all of LUCs teams, with cross-over with GIS, landscape planning, landscape design and heritage in particular.
The role includes the opportunity to share and participate actively in the management and ownership of the business through the Employee Ownership Trust, which places full ownership of the company with the employees.
A full-time role is based on 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday). However, LUC has a strong track record in flexible working, and we have been recognised for our flexible working culture, so we are happy to discuss a range of flexible working options for this role including part time hours (minimum 30 hours per week) if desired.
Salary: £24,575 - £28,050 FTE (Dependent on experience) plus London Allowance if applicable.
