JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years’ experience in prep work or food service is preferred
  • Camp kitchen experience is an asset
  • Must hold a valid food safety certificate
  • Knowledge of food prep, proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation is an asset
  • Excellent people skills and able to work well within a team environment
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, effectively and efficiently
  • Demonstrates basic math and counting skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch for long periods of time
  • Fast and repetitive movements of fingers, hands, and wrists
  • Use muscles to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 lbs
  • Use hands to handle objects and tools
  • Able to complete up to 12 hours shifts

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol clearance
  • Pre-employment Training and Orientation
  • Completed Health Questionnaire
  • Must have valid Government issued Identification for interview and travel
  • Two (2) references from former employers required
  • Criminal Record Check
Responsibilities
  • Prepares all food items using prep lists and standard LandSea recipes
  • Follow proper food handling procedures
  • Maintains accurate rotation of food to assure top quality and freshness
  • Manages leftover foods correctly; cover, label, date and accurately store according to LandSea standards
  • Maintains clean and orderly refrigerators and work areas
  • Ensures stations are cleaned, sanitized, and organized at the end of the shift (including cleaning of kitchen equipment)
  • Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment that conforms to all food safety standards and regulations
  • Follows safety policies and accident reporting procedures
