Description

We are actively hiring for the position of Maintenance Technician for our plant in Solon, OH. 3rd Shift: 9:45 PM-6:15 AM - Sunday - Thursday (Shift Differential $2 more an hour) Must be able to train on 1st Shift - Monday - Friday for 2-3 months DUTIES & RESPONSIBILIES Equipment Maintenance: * Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment according to established schedules. * Identify and diagnose equipment malfunctions, mechanical failures, and electrical issues. * Perform repairs, adjustments, or component replacements to restore equipment functionality. * Keep accurate maintenance records, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: * Responding to equipment breakdowns promptly and effectively troubleshoot the root cause of the problem. * Analyze malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and prevent recurring issues. * Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve complex technical problems and improve machine performance. Calibration and Testing: * Calibrate machinery and equipment to ensure accurate operation and adherence to quality standards. * Perform regular testing and inspections to verify compliance with safety regulations and quality control requirements. * Conduct performance evaluations and make necessary adjustments to optimize machine efficiency. Maintenance Planning and Documentation: * Assist in developing and updating maintenance procedures, guidelines, and manuals. * Create and maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and supplies required for maintenance and repairs. * Collaborate with the purchasing department to procure the necessary parts and equipment. Collaboration and Communication: * Work closely with other maintenance technicians, operators, and supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities and share knowledge. * Communicate effectively with team members, providing status updates, reports, and recommendations. * Provide training and guidance to machine operators on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance tasks. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field is a plus. * Proven experience as a machine maintenance technician or a similar role. * Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with a good understanding of machine operation and control systems. * Proficient in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing instruments. * Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and techniques. * Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to machine maintenance. * Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills. * Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions. * Flexibility to work on rotating shifts and respond to emergency maintenance requests.
