3ed Shift Punch Laser Operator    Position Summary The Punch Laser Operator is responsible for operating metal punch/laser machines to produce parts according to the required specifications. This role must be carried out with adherence to Tecomet's values of continuous improvement, customer-driven innovation, and a "win first" culture while ensuring that the company's financial and performance metrics are met. The operator's primary duty is to ensure that the punch/laser machines are utilized efficiently to produce high-quality parts that meet the customer's requirements while minimizing waste and maximizing productivity. This is a 3rd shift position that offers a shift differential.  Principle Responsibilities * Machine parts to specifications using documentation presented on routing/drawings and program hard copy.  * Employ use of inspection methods to ensure the quality of production.  * Ability to perform entry-level problem-solving skills.  * Ability to run one or more machine types.  * Maintains housekeeping and safety standards in work area.    Qualification Requirements Credentials/Experience: * High School Diploma or GED.   * 1-2 years of experience loading and running machines  * Knowledge and proficiency in using standard measuring equipment  * Ability to read and understand basic blueprints  * Proficiency in basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  * Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred  * Strong team player and ability to transition from one task to another  * Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision  * Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to follow written procedures  * Basic computer skills.  * Ability to read blueprint or schematics   #INDGEN1 Other Requirements  Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
