Purpose: The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee and maintain operations to ensure production, quality, safety and workflow efficiencies are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs, plans and coordinates activities relative to production, establishes priorities of product and workflow.
- Oversees the selection of maintenance of equipment and determination of required resources.
- Monitors production processes, adjusts or revises production schedules and priorities to accommodate business needs.
- Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
- Collaborates with other managers and leads to coordinate activities in and among departments.
- Collects, evaluates, analyzes, and assesses production data.
- Regularly inspects and evaluates products for quality and defects.
- Identifies and corrects problems and inefficiencies in process, materials, equipment, or skills.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices including those related to safety and health.
- Ensure adequate scheduling of staff
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate team members through effective coaching & feedback.
- Provide clear communication in terms of safety, productivity goals & targets
- Develop workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
- Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or potential issues that could impact production.
- Act as liaison between employees and managers
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Manufacturing Experience a must
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience within a Leadership role
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Thorough understanding of safety and health laws, regulations, and policies.
- Thorough understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and other effective manufacturing and distribution techniques.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Manufacturing Management or Equivalent Education and Experience within Field.
