Job Summary: Genesis Manufacturing & Distribution is an industry leader in the manufacturing of plastic components used in medical research, clinical diagnostic and biotech environments. Our 24-hour, ultra-modern facility is equipped with state of the art injection molding machines designed to guarantee reproducible and dependable products of the highest quality. We are looking for a 3rd Shift Lead Operator to perform various responsibilities including but not limited to having knowledge of packaging equipment and automation, can trouble shoot equipment, and can lead the operators. You will also need to be self-motivated to take on daily tasks that are essential to keeping production running. This role is essential to ensuring production runs are processing efficiently according to stringent QC standards. Essential Functions: High degree of knowledge and experience with packaging equipment, labeling system and automation The ability to trouble shoot certain pieces of equipment on the floor Excellent communicator, leads by example, team-oriented Bagging, packaging & shrink-wrapping finished product Can work independently to resolve and reconcile issues Help develop more effective and efficient work flow processes Monitoring of parts to ensure the highest quality packaged goods Perform cleaning and general maintenance of work area and equipment Minor and/or basic troubleshooting of machines Can train Operator I and Operator II employees Communicate and strategize with multiple departments and positions to maximize both short-term and long-term workflow processes. Other related duties as required Additional Responsibilities: Job Qualifications: General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) required High school diploma Broad understanding of the plastics/resins used Ability of delegate assignments to the Operators Teamwork Self-motivated Detail Oriented Ability to lift 30lbs Ability to stand for long periods of time Shift Lead Operators are responsible for shift scheduling of Operators, working with Injection Mold Shift Coordinators, QC, and Operations to ensure proper coverage.
