Description GENERAL SUMMARY: This is an hourly position that reports to the Sanitation Supervisor. This position assists and supports the Sanitation Supervisor in coordinating activities related to food safety and all sanitation programs. SCOPE OF JOB FUNCTION Work with chemicals and detergents for the purpose of cleaning and sanitizing equipment, walls, floors, ceilings, and other areas as needed Wash down equipment and floors Ensure that SOP’s, GMP’s, and safety rules are strictly followed May be required to clean other primary areas as needed to ensure food safety and quality Strictly follow the established company sanitation procedures Work closely with personnel in other departments to resolve sanitation and food safety issues Duties must be performed within the established timeframe Worker might be asked to help in the packaging lines from time to time. Requirements SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Must have at least 1year of related experience. High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. Lock-out Tag-out experience required. Verbal and written English communication skills a must. DESIRED: Knowledge of manufacturing environment and practices.
