LOCATION: VILLAGE VALLEY, CA | IN-PERSON | STARTS END OF AUGUST

Novel Education Group is seeking a compassionate, creative, and experienced part-time Special Education Homeschool Teacher to support a witty, curious, and bright 3rd grade student with autism in Village Valley, CA. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact through personalized, engaging, and adaptive teaching.
We will provide the core curriculum, but we’re looking for a teacher who can modify lessons, adjust pacing, and tailor materials to meet our student’s needs and interests. The ideal candidate is fun, flexible, confident, and understands Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), including how to approach and support demand avoidance in the learning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

✅ At least 2 years of experience working with neurodiverse students, especially those with PDA/autism profiles
✅ Minimum 3 years of teaching experience
✅ Highly flexible, patient, and enthusiastic, with a proactive mindset
✅ Comfortable working independently and in a home-based setting
✅ Able to commit fully to the in-person schedule
✅ Background checked (or willing to obtain)
✅ References available upon request
While a teaching credential is not required, we are looking for someone with a professional presence, strong communication skills, and a global, open-minded perspective.
