WE ARE SEEKING A QUALIFIED 3RD YEAR APPRENTICE OR JOURNEYMAN TECHNICIAN TO JOIN OUR GRAND TOYOTA TEAM!

You will take the lead to ensure quality service of customer and dealership vehicles, as well as the reconditioning of used vehicles for retail sales. You will provide timely maintenance, quality workmanship and attention to detail.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • This position is for a mid-level to experienced technician as a 3rd or 4th year Apprentice, or Journeyman.
  • Excellent automotive diagnostic skills.
  • Previous experience as a Toyota technician considered an asset.
  • Ability to work as part of a professional service team.
  • Possess excellent communication skills – to coordinate with shop foreman and Service Manager on all aspects of automotive service.
  • Must be well organized and systematic in all aspects of the service process.
  • Possess a good work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities
  • Performing diagnostics, servicing, and/or repairing vehicles.
  • Test drive vehicle prior to service/repair (Express Lube excepted); test drive after the service/repair is completed.
  • Standard operating procedures to complete scheduled maintenance as directed by Service Manager.
  • Completing work in accordance with all applicable safety requirements and procedures.
  • Documenting services and repairs completed by making appropriate notes showing “condition, cause and remedy”.
  • Documenting additional needed repairs showing “condition, cause and remedy”.
  • Dispose of fluids and chemicals in accordance with health and safety regulations and WHMIS guidelines.
  • Maintain an inventory of standard automotive technician tools in good working order.
  • Return customer’s vehicles as clean as (or cleaner than) they were prior to servicing.
