This position will help streamline the development and maintenance of our internal situational awareness platforms, enhancing our overall responsiveness and decision-making capabilities. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The part-time CLT Emergency Management intern will assist the team with maintaining and enhancing internal situational awareness platforms, assisting in research, data compilation, system updates, and activities related to the emergency management training and exercise program. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in an Emergency Management or Aviation degree program or related field. Required Licenses or Certifications None PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Coursework in Aviation and/or Emergency Management Incident Command System (ICS) – ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700, ICS 800 (Training can be completed through the National Disaster and Emergency Management University (NDEMU). KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of: Aviation, Emergency Management, Incident Command System (ICS), National Incident Management System (NIMS) Skill in: Perform data collection and research in support of departmental initiatives. Utilize Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation, tracking, and communication. Ability to: Ability to handle sensitive information with care and maintain confidentiality Basic ability to review data and clearly communicate key takeaways Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
