We are looking for an experienced 4G/5G Core Engineer to focus on hands-on configuration and integration of both radio and core network components into fully functional private wireless solutions, with a strong emphasis on the Core Network. You will work closely with enterprise customers to understand their needs, deliver Proof of Concept (PoC) projects, and ensure the seamless integration and optimization of 4G/5G technologies. This is a key role where you will contribute to the development of scalable, innovative solutions that shape the future of enterprise connectivity.

Key tasks:

  • Collaborate on short-term Proof of Concept (PoC) projects, contributing to innovative private wireless solutions.
  • Engage with enterprise customers across diverse sectors to understand their use cases and define how our solutions can meet their goals.
  • Perform hands-on configuration and integration of system components, with a focus on the Core Network elements.
  • Validate solutions, participate in customer testing, and meticulously document outcomes.
  • Support the transition of PoC solutions into scalable, productized offerings, enabling seamless delivery for larger projects.
  • Provide customer support during test execution to ensure satisfaction and success.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in telecommunications or a related discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with Core Network (Core NW).
  • Strong knowledge of 4G/5G mobile network technologies, functions, and standards, with expertise in Core Network and ideally familiarity with the Radio segment.
  • Hands-on experience integrating and working with complex systems.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting methodologies in lab environments, with a focus on Linux-based systems in the 4G/5G context.
  • Fluency in English and Hungarian, both written and spoken. (French proficiency is an advantage).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 10%).
  • Excellent customer communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Demonstrated excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS, PERSONAL TRAITS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with Telco systems (e.g., packet core with Nokia CMM, CMG or CMU), and strong knowledge of routing protocols and network interfaces (direct experience with IXRe is a plus).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, Nokia, Ericsson) are advantageous.
