Based in Avonmouth, Plant-Ex ingredients in an international company specialising in the manufacture of Natural Food Ingredient Solutions, supplying across the globe either directly through our own facilities or through a number of selected distribution partners.
We are looking to fill four new 4o4o production operative positions that are now available.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

No experience needed – we offer full training!
We are looking for driven people who want to get involved and succeed in our fast-paced company.
You need to have basic reading and writing skills for recording batch numbers, and basic computer skills for sending emails.
You need to be physically fit and be able to lift 25kg comfortably.
FLT licence would be an advantage but not necessary as the company will organise for you to be trained and certified.
We are looking for individuals with a problem solving and “can do attitude” - this team is one which gets things done.
Immediate start available.
You MUST to be able to reliably commute to Avonmouth and be comfortable working day and night shifts on a rotation basis.

Responsibilities

· Run product on the SDT 15 and SDT 95
· Sieving product, filling and changing bags while minimising product spillage and contamination.
· Correctly labelling with product information, such as product name and batch number, provided by the product works order
· Prep and make slurries and ensure the raw material batch numbers are recorded correctly and the correct RM’s are used in the process
· Checking on Chilli to ensure pack sizes meet order requirements
· Complete blends and liquids when required
· Ensure that product is weighed to the required weight as accurately as possible.
· Ensure that all bags are clean and dust free before the product is palletised and stored. Once product has been placed on the pallet it is to be wrapped and stored correctly.
· Prepping bags so that you do not run out of bags for your shift
· “tap out” slurry mixes into clean IBC’s
· Set up piping and pump to tap out slurry.
· Read and follow product work orders accurately to ensure product is made to requirements.
· Maintain a clean and clear working environment for smooth flow of production.
· Attend to other machinery in the factory where required
· Keep your work area(s) clean and free of obstruction.
· Responsible for bringing to the attention of the shift supervisor any issues that arise during the shift.
· Immediatelyreport any slurry or product spillages to the supervisor.
· Follow reasonable instructions from your supervisor, who will delegate work to you and the rest of your team
· Ensure bins are emptied
· Ensure work corridors are clean, tidy and not blocked
· Keep work areas free from spillages, waste and untidy material
· Assist in keeping product stored safely and in a hygienic manner
· Work carefully according to Health and Safety procedures
· Wear appropriate PPE for the specific task
