QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification: 4th-Class Power Engineer (required)
  • Experience: Experience operating boilers, compressors, chillers, and utility systems.Prior experience conducting chemical testing and treatment of boiler feedwater and cooling systems. Experience working in a production facility or with EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) systems is an asset.
  • Skills: Technical troubleshooting, data interpretation, strong organizational/documentation skills, and effective teamwork

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the 4th-Class Power Engineer will work alongside our power engineering team to ensure uninterrupted production flows, energy efficiency, and safety compliance, while also supporting manufacturing operations, machine performance, and maintenance activities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Operate and monitor boilers, air compressors, chillers, and steam distribution networks
  • Run manufacturing equipment, support production as line lead, and complete production records as required to support production requirements
  • Conduct chemical testing and treatment of boiler feedwater and cooling systems
  • Lead or support maintenance in mold change activities
  • Maintain accurate operating logs, inspections, and maintenance records
  • Respond to alarms and coordinate with maintenance teams to address issues
  • Support outside contractors with machine repairs and upgrades
  • Identify and implement opportunities for energy efficiency and process improvements
  • Ensure all systems meet safety and regulatory requirements
