OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated 4th Year Apprentice or Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, including experience in industrial settings, proficient in This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, wiring & troubleshooting control circuits as well program & diagnose soft starters and VFD’s. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on industrial environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment.
  • Experience with low voltage systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Drivers license with a good drivers abstract.
  • Ability to work alone.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine wiring layouts and installation requirements.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various electrical tasks.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues, including low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Ability to program and diagnose soft starters and VFD’s.
  • Proficient in wiring and troubleshooting control circuits.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on projects to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure they meet safety standards and regulations.
  • Provide maintenance person services as needed to support overall project goals.
