Eberhardt Foods Limited is one of the largest independent suppliers of products to the food service industry in Western Canada, and we are looking for a Delivery Driver to provide unbeatable service to our customers.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will handle up to 12 deliveries a day to our customers across Alberta. When not servicing our customers on the road, you will be assisting the warehouse team with picking and packing large grocery orders that require lifting up to 25 kg.
This position is a heavy labour job that requires repetitive motion, so the ideal candidate is motivated to do physical work, and be on their feet for an extended period of time.
A successful candidate communicates well with others, and will help our tight knit team accomplish service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and load product
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain shipping logs
• Ensure that delivery paperwork is completed, and returns are processed
• Lift and carry up to 25 kg
• The ability to lift heavy grocery product by hand for an extended period of time
• Move between delivery route duties, and palletizing grocery product in house
• Collect payment from customers
• Maintain a clean driver’s abstract
• Positive attitude: you’re the face of our company and the customer expects us to smile
• Reliable: attendance and punctuality is one of your personal values
• Skill: you enjoy working in a physical environment with a team

Required Skills and Experience:

• Class 5 Driver’s license required
• Must provide clear Driver’s Abstract
• Air Brakes Q endorsement required
• 1 year of 5 ton truck operation experience required
• Food prep or warehouse experience preferred
• Able to move between multiple temperature environments, and work in -20 Celsius for an extended period of time
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to be coached and open to continuous improvement
