We are hiring for a 508 Accessibility Tester - Journeyman level to work on a U.S. Federal Civilian project. This is a Full-time 12-month contract, with possible extension. Candidates must have (or be able to obtain) a public trust clearance. This position requires candidates to obtain/maintain a public trust background investigation. Candidates should be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. If on Visa, you must have lived in the U.S. full time for the past 3 years / 36 months (no Exceptions). Residency will be validated. Start date: Immediate Job Summary We are looking for a 508 Accessibility QA/Tester to join our team supporting federal clients. The person in this role will have demonstrated experience with manual testing, preferred in a federal government environment. Responsibilities and Duties We are seeking a 508 Accessibility QA / Tester with a minimum of 2-5 years of accessibility testing experience. Work with stakeholders, business users, and technical SMEs to gather and refine accessibility requirements. Document requirements as user stories with acceptance criteria. Develop, publish, and implement 508 accessibility test plans. Identify and suggest potential solutions to deliver accessible applications, websites, and content. Evaluate and remediate digital documents, including forms, PDFs, and other formats, to meet accessibility guidelines and standards. Develop manual or automated accessibility testing scripts and data set. Work with colleagues to refine accessibility testing templates, protocols, and tools. Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load and system testing. Work in iterative Agile/Scrum development cycles with cross-functional teams. Communicate effectively with federal clients, developers, and program managers. Required Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred. 2-5+ years of combined technical experience in quality assurance and/or testing roles. Knowledge of compliance with the ADA, Section 508, and other accessibility related law(s). Experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) accessibility standards and guidelines, accessibility audit and quality assurance tools and processes. Experience conducting accessibility testing on multiple platforms and browsers. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, specifically Kanban. U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident w/Green Card (preferred).
