Job Description Viva Energy Australia offering an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic finance team as a Finance Analyst, where you’ll partner closely with our Aviation and Polymers businesses. Reporting to the Commercial and Industrial Finance Manager, you’ll take ownership of subsidiary-level profit & loss and balance sheet management, playing a key role in driving financial accuracy, system integrity, and compliance. This role goes beyond the numbers you’ll gain exposure to the broader commercial landscape and contribute to business performance in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Responsibilities Take ownership of monthly P&L reporting and variance analysis, including data loading and reconciliation between Xero and JDE, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial reporting. Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and processes to support business growth and informed decision-making. Oversee key balance sheet components including inventory, fixed assets, capital investment approvals, GST, employee provisions, and cash flow management. Regularly review and strengthen financial controls to ensure alignment with group wide finance policies and procedures. Partner with Business Managers to support strategies and continual improvement, spot potential cost savings and efficiencies, and to identify potential blind spots or anomalies for investigation. Collaborate closely with corporate functions, acting as the key interface between group finance and the commercial business. Provide ad hoc financial reporting and support to the Aviation and Polymers teams. Decision-making Ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines and handle multiple and varied tasks. Independent, self-starter with ability to review and implement/embed polices, process and procedures. Excellent listening, interpersonal and communication skills. Qualifications Degree qualified in Finance or equivalent. Strong stakeholder engagement with interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced Excel skills JDE, Zero and Power BI experience well regarded.
