POSITION SUMMARY:

Arlo is seeking a strategic and hands-on HR Director to oversee our Human Resources and Recruiting departments. This role is critical in ensuring our HR and talent acquisition functions align with business objectives, compliance requirements, and company culture.
Location: Washington, D.C. / HYBRID - 1 day per week with onsite requirements (local to DMV region)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance in government contracting environments (EEO, OFCCP, AAP, FAR, DCAA, etc.).
  • Experience in employee relations, performance management, training, and organizational development.
  • Proven ability to manage HR and recruiting functions, including leading teams in a growing organization.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in changing conditions.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR certification.
  • Experience in government contracting, particularly managing HR for employees working on federal contracts.
  • Experience with Deltek CostPoint and compliance tracking for government contracts.
