DESCRIPTION Join Apple's modem team to build advanced DevOps infrastructure supporting groundbreaking 5G/4G cellular firmware development. As a Modem Firmware DevOps Engineer, you'll be at the center of our embedded cellular physical layer firmware effort, working within the Advanced Technologies Group responsible for crafting and productizing powerful cellular SoCs. You'll develop automation systems, integrate LLM capabilities into enterprise workflows, and create modern CI/CD pipelines that accelerate firmware development. This role requires expertise in both traditional DevOps practices and emerging technologies, with opportunities to explore how large language models can enhance embedded systems development workflows. If you're passionate about cellular technology and want to shape the future of development processes that impact wireless systems reaching millions of customers worldwide, this role offers cutting-edge technical challenges at the intersection of DevOps and modern automation. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience Proficiency in Python for automation, API development, and integration work. Familiarity with developing REST APIs and microservices architectures. Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) platforms. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MS in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer engineering. Hands-on experience with Git and modern CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions). Experience with automated testing frameworks and modern test generation approaches. Knowledge of monitoring and visualization tools with analytics capabilities. Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform). Understanding of prompt engineering and LLM workflow optimization.
