Description
We are seeking a highly skilled 5G Embedded Software Engineer based in Greece, to join our dynamic team. The ideal applicant should have a deep understanding of physical layer protocols, 5G, C-V2X, D2D, embedded system programming and proficiency in C/C++ programming. Moreover, the applicant must possess foundational Linux administration skills, be comfortable in a Linux-based environment and have experience working with remote machines (SSH) and using command-line interfaces. Responsibilities Develop and maintain software for 5G devices deployed in physical field locations. Enable device-to-device communication between 5G devices using C-V2X and related D2D protocols, including DSRC and ProSe. Directly program Qualcomm C-V2X chips to ensure reliable communication among devices. Validate device-to-device connections without involving the base station and core network. Maintain system security by ensuring that the device-to-device connection is unknown or inaccessible to other devices or the base station. Develop algorithms to manage the performance and power consumption of the 5G devices. Design and implement software to handle unexpected conditions or failures to ensure uninterrupted 5G service. Test and verify the performance of devices using 5G technology in various environments and stress situations. Conduct system integration testing to ensure seamless interoperability between different system components. Conduct research on emerging technologies and trends related to 5G and D2D communication. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, MSc is a plus. Familiarity with 5G technology, including a comprehensive understanding of physical layer protocols and C-V2X. Expertise in embedded system programming with experience in C/C++ programming, solid understanding of compilers, build and source code control tools. Fundamental Linux administration skills and comfortability in a Linux setting. Experience with remote machines (SSH) and command-line usage. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work effectively with team members. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
