JOB DESCRIPTION:

Serve as a 4G/5G Engineering SME
Design and develop 5G network infrastructure and its SW components
Provide cross-functional, wireless feature development
Implement and troubleshoot 5G/4G features and parameters

Conduct comprehensive assessments of 5G networks and components, including:

  • Performance and Security analysis
  • Coverage evaluation
  • Network optimization
  • Capacity planning

Design, implement, and execute test cases
Identify potential vulnerabilities

Analyze and assess 5G protocols (e.g., 5G NR, 5G Core)

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices and MIL-STD

Prepare detailed technical reports and briefings on assessment findings

  • Including recommendations for improvement and risk mitigation

Work with cross-functional teams to deploy 5G networks

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS in electrical engineering, computer science, telecommunications, or a related

5+ years of experience in network engineering, telecommunications, or a related field

  • With a focus on 5G/4G and Telco technologies

Experience building 5G and 4G infrastructure from scratch
Strong knowledge of 5G NR (New Radio) and 5G Core network architecture
Proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting 5G network protocols
Understanding of 5G security frameworks and best practices

Experience with the following:

  • Testing and verification of 4G/5G FDD/TDD Radio access features
  • 3GPP standards for 4G and 5G technologies
  • RAN system design and logging

Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or Python
Familiarity with network simulation and emulation tools
Experience with cloud-native technologies and applications in 5G networks (preferred)
Hands-on experience with network automation and orchestration tools (preferred)
Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and their application in 5G security (preferred)
Willing to travel at least 30% of the time
