Description Position Title: Teacher Status: Full-Time, Exempt Reports to: Principal Catholic School Teaching Position Position Overview We are seeking a passionate, faith-filled, and engaging Science Teacher to join our Catholic school community and teach 5th and 6th grade students. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity about God’s creation through hands-on learning, foster academic excellence, and support the spiritual and moral development of students in accordance with Catholic values. Responsibilities Teach 5th and 6th grade science curriculum aligned with state and diocesan standards Create engaging lesson plans that encourage inquiry, critical thinking, and scientific exploration Incorporate Catholic teachings and values into classroom culture and instruction when appropriate Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment Utilize labs, projects, technology, and interactive activities to support student learning Assess student progress regularly and communicate effectively with parents and school administration Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to support school initiatives and student success Participate in school liturgies, faith-based activities, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field Valid state teaching certification or ability to obtain certification Practicing Catholic preferred, but all candidates supportive of the Catholic mission are encouraged to apply Experience teaching upper elementary or middle school science preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Commitment to academic excellence and faith formation Note: All employees are required to consent to a background check, commit to our Code of Conduct policy, and complete online and in-person trainings prior to hire.
