Description:
Please note that this internship will be taking place for at least 6 months starting from a date in Q2 2025 or later. Bank of Ireland – Frankfurt Office offers 6 month internships throughout the year, with some flexibility on timing in order to accommodate a timing that works with your schedule.
BASIC QUALIFICATION
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in both German and English
- You must be in your penultimate or final year of a bachelor’s or master’s degree
- You will have a good academic record, with preference for a degree in accounting, economics, or finance
- You will have an understanding of financing principles, valuation theory, methodologies and applications
- Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills
- Ability to work well under pressure with attention to detail
- Good proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
- Previous experience in and/or interest in the sector
- You must be motivated and have the ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing, demanding, but ultimately rewarding environment

Throughout your internship, you will get similar levels of exposure as a first-year Analyst, assisting in the preparation and assessment of potential financing opportunities as well as conducting market, industry, and company analyses. Furthermore, you will gain experience in financial modelling, valuation analyses, as well as industry-focused sector expertise, support the due diligence processes in support of the credit application process and work as part of a project team on live transactions.
