6 Month Off-Cycle Internship – Leveraged Acquisition Finance

Please note that this internship will be taking place for at least 6 months starting from a date in Q2 2025 or later. Bank of Ireland – Frankfurt Office offers 6 month internships throughout the year, with some flexibility on timing in order to accommodate a timing that works with your schedule.

BASIC QUALIFICATION

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in both German and English
• You must be in your penultimate or final year of a bachelor’s or master’s degree
• You will have a good academic record, with preference for a degree in accounting, economics, or finance
• You will have an understanding of financing principles, valuation theory, methodologies and applications
• Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills
• Ability to work well under pressure with attention to detail
• Good proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

• Previous experience in and/or interest in the sector
• You must be motivated and have the ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing, demanding, but ultimately rewarding environment

Furthermore, you will gain experience in financial modelling, valuation analyses, as well as industry-focused sector expertise, support the due diligence processes in support of the credit application process and work as part of a project team on live transactions.
