JOB TITLE: Electric Technician A POSITION OBJECTIVE: To provide operations with timely and efficient electrical maintenance / calibration through the work order process including the use of accurate recordkeeping, standard operating procedures, and training at all stages of the process and identifying / correcting mechanical / electrical issues in assigned areas while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Vocational certificate or an associate’s degree in electronic technology preferred. Journeyman electrician, electrician’s license or equivalent desirable. Minimum of two years’ experience in the repair of electric circuits or the repair of DC and AC motors including Delta and Wye configuration. Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematic drawings. Basic knowledge for the repair and troubleshooting of printed circuit boards. Oral and written communication skills Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary. Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Comply with all Plant Safety and Product Safety requirements Comply with all plant conduct and attendance policies Complete all necessary forms and paperwork associated with the PM, abnormal analysis, and work order programs. Responsible for good housekeeping practices in assigned work areas. Identify / correct electrical problems within assigned areas in a timely / efficient manner; including but not limited to: Electrical breaker boxes – must know all breaker locations and panels for all equipment UPS / utilities – good understanding of system. Must be able to rack in / out of power breakers and bypass UPS system to start / stop equipment PCC / Conair / auto-loading systems – troubleshooting / isolating problems to failed components. Must be able to calibration / make fine adjustments Work with engineers regarding troubleshooting Equipment upgrades / modifications Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision On call as necessary; available for rotating shift schedule Any additional duties deemed necessary by Maintenance Manager / Electrical Maintenance Supervisor / Shift Supervisor Strive to achieve company goals / departmental objectives Comply with company recycling policy.
