Elementary School District 159 in Matteson is seeking a full time 6th Grade Middle School Math Teacher. Please see the attached job description for details.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Middle School Math Endorsement (Grades 6–8).
• Strong content knowledge and understanding of math pedagogy for middle school learners.
• Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning platforms.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, student success, and continuous improvement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience teaching middle school math.
• Familiarity with MTSS/RTI, student goal setting, and small group instruction.
• Knowledge of data analysis to inform instruction and support student growth.
