Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Main purpose of the work is to deliver ready to eat products to various customers while maintaining temperature & integrity of the product.
Start times will be 4am job and finish, typically lunch time and rarely working past 1pm. Wednesdays are a 6am start but still job and finish.
Typical normal runs cover an area spanning Kent, Essex, London, Surrey & Sussex.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

All orders are palletised or boxed and will be unloaded by hand or using the sack barrow or pallet truck provided. Assistance may be provided by the customer where possible.

  • The orders will be delivered accurately and checked at the time of the delivery, report any errors when they occur. Ensure the vehicle is kept in appropriate condition, defects are reported, and the cab interior is kept tidy.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers in the sales/account office and the warehouse.
  • Respond appropriately to customer inquiries. Receive and record payments. Ensure returned goods are acceptable and the correct paperwork has been completed.
  • Complete daily records and return to the QC department for filing and future reference where necessary.
  • Maintain legal tachographs, record and report vehicle defects and incidents immediately in order to maintain the vehicle in a safe and legal condition.
