Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a 767 Airplane Integration Office Manager in Everett, Washington to lead a multi-disciplinary team in the end-to-end development and implementation of a wide range of engineering projects across multiple teams enabling improvements to safety, quality, efficiency, stability, and delivery of 767-300Fs and 767-2Cs.
In addition to leading the ALIT (Airplane Level Integration Team) which consists of PIMs (project integration managers) and ECC (engineering change control), this person will manage the Systems integration team requiring collaboration with their peers in ALIT, Airplane Systems and across the other IPTs as well as BDS. He/she will recruit, coach, and mentor team-members to develop and integrate across Airplane Systems, other program ALIT teams as well as Airplane Level Engineering Integration (ALEI).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 1+ years experience leading engineering team
  • 3+ years of relevant Engineering experience
  • 3+ years experience managing diverse and complex projects
  • 3+ years experience resolving complex airplane level technical issues

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Familiarity with the Systems Engineering Disciplines of Systematic Problem Solving, Value Stream Engagement, Requirements Management, and Project Management Best Practices.
  • Experience with engineering quality impacts on the value stream and associated design process challenges
  • Experience in airplane systems
  • Demonstrated Leadership Development Interest
  • Technical integration of complex systems
  • 2+ years management experience
  • 1+ years project management experience
  • Experience applying Systems Engineering principals in the Aerospace industry
  • Working in an Agile environment

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Required

Responsibilities
  • Leads the project PIM (project integration manager) team and Systems Integrators to execute complex projects to support the 767 program.
  • Collaborates with the other IPTs to resolve airplane level issues
  • Helps lead Airplane Recurring Risk Reduction (ARRR) meetings
  • Leads engineering RIOs for the program
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manage Flightline Performance initiatives and Systems IPT support for airplane squawk troubleshooting in support of Flight Test, AC-E, and Delivery.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
