Job Goal: To assist in developing and supporting social emotional learning practices and procedures. To support staff in the development and implementation of appropriate interventions. To engage with all types of learners. To provide de-escalation, behavior management, and mediation when needed.
To support and assist teachers and the building principal.Performance Responsibilities: 1. To support and promote the social-emotional learning of all students through a trauma-informed lens.2. To coordinate and monitor student behavior practices.3. To serve as a resource for faculty, coaches, counselors, and support staff.4.
To provide support and social-emotional education for the community of parents.5. To assist in developing and maintaining a positive school climate that encourages orderly student conduct.6. To promote a feeling of unity and spirit among the student body.7. To provide leadership/support as needed to teacher meeting groups such as PLCs, Data, 504, and IEP.8.
To assist the Building Principal and staff in implementing the schools curricular and long-range goals.9. To develop, implement, and evaluate school programs in collaboration with district committees and other parent/community groups as appropriate.10. To provide support and monitoring of assessment data and trends.11. To effectively communicate with all outside agencies.12.
To perform any other duties assigned by the Building Principal.Salary commensurate with Unit A contract scale. Available for review at STGRSD.OR
