• Accurately and impartially interpret between two languages, conveying the meaning, tone, and nuances of the conversation while maintaining cultural sensitivity.
• Remain composed and manage emotions professionally in challenging situations.
• Adhere to interpretation Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
• Native proficiency in English including legal terminology
• Native proficiency in Spanish including legal terminology
• 2 years of interpretation experience in legal settings
• Undergraduate degree in the legal field is a plus (including foreign universities)
• State Court certified or registered is a plus
• Professional appearance and dress code
