Summary: The HRIS Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert and system administrator for Dayforce HCM, supporting configuration, reporting, data integrity, system upgrades, and user support. The HRIS Analyst will work closely with the HR Shared Services team to field and resolve system-related tickets and will have a solid understanding of payroll processing within Dayforce to effectively support cross-functional HR and Payroll operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Administer and maintain the Dayforce HCM system, including modules such as Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance, Recruiting, Onboarding, and Performance.
  • Partner with the HR Shared Services team to review, prioritize, and resolve HRIS-related support tickets in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide frontline support and troubleshooting for Dayforce system issues, escalating as necessary to Dayforce support.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to optimize system performance and user experience.
  • Configure Dayforce workflows and settings to meet evolving business and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain custom and standard reports and dashboards using Dayforce reporting tools
  • Support payroll processing operations by maintaining system accuracy and ensuring payroll-related configuration (e.g., earnings codes, deductions, pay groups) aligns with business needs.
  • Perform routine audits of HR and payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain custom and standard reports, dashboards, and metrics to support business analysis and compliance.
  • Support the annual Open Enrollment process by configuring benefits plans in Dayforce, conducting system testing, and assisting with employee communications and issue resolution
  • Participate in testing and implementation of system upgrades, enhancements, and new modules.
  • Document system processes, configurations, and training materials.
  • Train HR team members and end-users on system functionality and best practices.
  • Maintain awareness of data privacy and security protocols related to HR and payroll data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience working with Dayforce HCM, including payroll configuration and support.
  • Proven experience partnering with shared services or helpdesk teams to resolve system inquiries.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, payroll operations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SQL or Dayforce report writing tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • High level of discretion with confidential employee information.
  • Ceridian Dayforce certification(s) (preferred)
  • Experience in payroll processing and troubleshooting payroll discrepancies
  • Experience implementing or upgrading Dayforce modules
  • Project management or change management experience
  • Knowledge of U.S. payroll tax and labor laws (e.g., FLSA, ACA, state/local requirements)
