We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team in our daytime Coffee Shop / Bistro.
Salt and Pepper is an independent retailer (established 2000) located in the centre of Monmouth. We have four shops - all next to each other (Cook Shop, Gift Shop, Clothes Shop and Toy Shop), and the Coffee Shop / Bistro plays an essential role within the company. We offer a full day-time menu including breakfast/brunch options, lunch, light snacks and cakes throughout the day. We are fully licensed, and our bespoke blend of coffee is very popular.
Our ideal candidate will be willing to learn all aspects of the business, including barista training and delivery of a wide selection of drinks, and service. In-house training will be provided for all applicants. Training will also include an understanding of the full menu, and allergens. Other duties would include taking orders, food service, operating the till and house keeping (cleaning).
Full-time hours of work will be 5 days out of a 7-day rota including weekends, so flexible working is preferred. However, we will also consider applicants who are available 4 days a week (including weekends). We operate a day-time only service so there is no requirement for evening work or split shifts. Shifts times may vary; service starts at 9am and finishes at 4.30pm Monday - Saturday, and 10am - 4 pm on Sunday.
