Job Description Conduct research and pre-development of innovative thermal management systems in electrified vehicles and residential HVAC system System requirement engineering, simulation and design optimization, control strategy development and optimization Work closely with corporate research hub in Renningen, Germany on project activities and competence development Work closely with business units to supply cutting edge and competitive technology solutions and to transform them to products Main responsibility includes: Lead and participate energy management system and/or thermal system topology analysis, requirement analysis, control strategy assessment, and component design, simulation analysis and validation Pursue technology excellence by contributing brilliant ideas to new product concepts including patent filing Prove innovation concept by pre-development including design, simulation, prototyping, test and validation Support project activities to transfer deliverables to business units successfully Manage suppliers and lab facilities for sample construction Qualifications PhD degree or master’s degree with min. 3 years working experiences, in discipline of Thermal energy & Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Control Engineering. Knowledge on electric vehicle thermal system or residential HVAC system is appreciated Practical experiences in system simulation, system optimization and operating strategy development is necessary Proficient in 1D simulation tools (Dymola, AMESim, MATLAB Simulink, etc.) is a must Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (oral and written), German is a plus International education and experience is a plus Efficient, goal-oriented, structured working style, experienced in project work Strong documentation and writing skills Passionate for innovation, open to work in an international environment
