Job Description - Develop and optimize laser-based manufacturing processes in the fields of e-mobility, battery systems, hydrogen solutions and power electronics - Design and implement laser applications such as welding, cutting, drilling, marking, and structuring for high-precision manufacturing - Integrate and conduct tryouts of laser equipment in custom-built special machinery developed by our company - Conduct feasibility studies, process validation, and parameter optimization for new laser applications in the state-of-the-art laser laboratory - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to laser processes and laser equipment, ensuring high quality and efficiency - Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored laser solutions - Stay updated on the latest advancements in laser technology, automation, and Industry 4.0 trends - Prepare technical documentation, reports, and process guidelines Qualifications - Bachelor's / Master's degree in Laser Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields - Proven experience in laser material processing (fiber lasers, ultrafast lasers, etc.) for eDrive, battery, or electronics manufacturing - Strong knowledge of laser safety standards, optics, and beam delivery systems - Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, automation systems (PLC, robotics), and process monitoring tools - Strong team-player mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, production, and customer teams - Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach - Professional communication skills in English (additional language, e.g. German are a plus)
