Due to long-term contracts and major upcoming builds, we are seeking a highly skilled, safety-focused A-Level Ticketed Self-Erecting Tower Crane Operator for a project-based position in our Richmond shipyard. This role will be dedicated to specific build projects, with potential for extension based on performance and future workload.

Key Responsibilities
· Operate self-erecting tower cranes to hoist, move, and place structural components, equipment, and materials in the shipyard
· Follow all company safety policies, industry regulations, and marine crane operation best practices
· Conduct daily pre-operational inspections of crane and rigging equipment, reporting any defects or concerns
· Coordinate lifts with ground crews, riggers, and project managers to ensure precision and safety
· Maintain clear radio communication with all relevant personnel
· Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on crane equipment as required
· Monitor weather and site conditions to ensure safe lifting operations
· Participate in all safety meetings and training sessions
Qualifications
· A-Level Ticketed Self-Erecting Tower Crane Operator certification
· 10–15 years of verifiable experience operating self-erecting tower cranes
· In-depth knowledge of crane safety regulations and best practices
· Ability to perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance
· Strong communication and teamwork skills
· Proven ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· Physically fit and able to work at heights
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
