Specialties Needed: Piston/Turbo Prop Mechanic (1st/2nd shift) Citation Mechanic (1st/2nd/Weekend shift) Large Cabin | Bombardier/Gulfstream experience (1st shift) King Air Mechanic (1st/2nd shift) SUMMARY The Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling aircraft to ensure airworthiness and compliance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications. This position plays a critical role in diagnosing issues, executing repairs, and delivering high-quality maintenance services with a focus on safety and efficiency. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Perform repairs, replacements, inspections, and maintenance on aircraft airframes, engines, and systems in accordance with FAA and manufacturer specifications. Identify potential or existing safety issues and recommend corrective actions. Utilize and stay current with technical publications including maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives. Use and maintain basic hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks. Collaborate with other maintenance and office personnel to ensure smooth project execution and accurate documentation. Operate and become proficient with shop maintenance gear and testing equipment. Complete all assigned tasks in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. Interact professionally with customers, providing clear and courteous communication. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, assisting with general housekeeping as required. Support aircraft movement in and out of hangars when needed. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Maintenance, Shop Foreman, or General Manager. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE In-depth understanding of FAA regulations, aircraft systems, and airframe/engine maintenance practices Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics Familiarity with Cessna and Beechcraft models preferred Knowledge of maintenance tracking systems and recordkeeping standards Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English Basic computer skills required Basic math proficiency Ability to analyze problems and interpret technical data COMPETENCIES Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards Ability to follow procedures and technical instructions precisely Effective communication and teamwork abilities Professional customer service demeanor Time management and organizational skills EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of accredited A&P training program or equivalent education A&P License required Inspection Authorization (IA) required Minimum of 3 years’ experience maintaining general aviation aircraft preferred Experience with Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft highly desirable Must meet airport badge eligibility requirements with no ramp restrictions WORKING CONDITIONS Frequent exposure to hangar and shop environments Exposure to loud engine noise, exhaust fumes, moving mechanical parts, solvents, and lubricants Occasional work in outdoor conditions and exposure to seasonal weather Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required during certain operations Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching Occasional walking, sitting, rotation, pushing, and pulling Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform precision mechanical work for extended periods WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident If a Security Clearance is required: Candidates "must/may need" to be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance Successful candidates must be able to secure Program Access approval
