Description INTRODUCTION The A&P Mechanic will maintain the company’s aircraft in a safe, and airworthy condition in accordance with company maintenance manuals and Federal Aviation Regulations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform work on aircraft and components as outlined on corresponding work forms, and in accordance with the manufacturer’s Maintenance Manual and Empire Airlines’ approved maintenance program. Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition; complete all records and paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. A&P Mechanic will maintain the company’s aircraft in a safe and airworthy condition according to the company maintenance manual and Federal Aviation Regulations. Serve as a role model for ethical behavior, maintain a professional and dignified work environment, and promote and support the mission of Empire Airlines. Other related duties as assigned. Requirements REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES In-depth knowledge of aircraft structures, systems, maintenance, and inspection practices, along with proficiency in troubleshooting related systems. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins. Strong understanding of FAA regulations applicable to maintenance. Ability to work independently or in a team, in high-pressure environments. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to safety and high standards of quality and compliance. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Required: High school diploma or equivalent. An FAA-issued Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate is required. Electrical, technical, or mechanical aptitude. Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record per company policy. Compliance with FAA/DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. Preferred: Two or more years of hands-on experience working with the company’s aircraft type. Prior field maintenance or flight support experience. WORKING CONDITIONS Work primarily performed in a hangar or outdoor ramp environment. Exposure to aircraft noise, moving mechanical parts, and hazardous materials. Requires standing, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders/lifts, and lifting up to 80 pounds. Requires manual dexterity, speaking, seeing, and hearing to conduct business. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Travel up to 25% to support field maintenance or customer sites. Smoke-free, drug- and alcohol-free workplace. Pay & Benefits: Starting hourly base pay range (DOE): $28.53 - $33.37 Qualifying hourly pay Incentives: $2.00 regional, $1.00 A & $1.00 P license Expected starting hourly Total: $32.53 to $37.37 Annual increases and additional incentives once qualified.
