At AIM, you’ll: Share your real-world aircraft maintenance experience with future technicians Enjoy more predictable schedules compared to field work Make a lasting impact on students entering the aviation industry Continue growing your own knowledge while developing others About the Role As an Aircraft Maintenance Instructor (A&P Mechanic Instructor), you will deliver FAA-aligned aviation maintenance curriculum and provide hands-on instruction to students preparing for careers as aircraft maintenance technicians (AMTs). This role is ideal for experienced A&P mechanics, aircraft mechanics, and aviation maintenance professionals who want to combine technical expertise with mentorship and training while delivering hands-on aviation maintenance instruction in classroom and active hangar environments. Schedule options: Part-time schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 7:30am - 4:30 pm OR this position can be adjusted to Full Time with benefits Key Responsibilities Teach aircraft maintenance systems, procedures, and techniques in a hands-on environment Deliver FAA-aligned curriculum to prepare students for A&P certification Demonstrate practical skills used by A&P mechanics and aviation technicians Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress Support curriculum updates and collaborate with program leadership Help create a structured, engaging, and safety-focused learning environment Maintain classroom, lab equipment, and training materials Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED Associate degree in a related field preferred Experience At least three (3) years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience Skillset Strong command of aircraft maintenance systems and procedures with a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning Experience with and openness to learning Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) Flexibility to work outside scheduled hours as needed Licensure FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate What We Offer for FT Employment We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package that supports your personal and professional well-being.
