A/R CLERK

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our accounting team. This individual will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting overall cash flow operations. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher in accounting or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally

Responsibilities
  • Process customer payments via check, ACH, credit card, or other methods
  • Record and apply payments to customer accounts
  • Generate and send customer invoices and account statements
  • Work a schedule in support of retail and wholesale operations at our locations in Tampa that will include weekend, morning, and/or evening duties
  • Prepare daily cash management reports and deposits
  • Reconciling daily transactions, posting adjustments, and following up on discrepancies
  • General accounting/office management duties to aid operations of the fast-paced operation
  • Collaborate with the sales and customers service teams to resolve account issues
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial procedures
  • As part of your role, you may be required to perform additional duties or tasks as assigned by your manager or the company. Flexibility and a willingness to take on varied responsibilities are essential expectations for all positions
