MISSION:

Quantum Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced A/V Systems Engineer / Crestron Programmer to become the newest member of the QTI Team in Huntsville, AL. The A/V Systems Engineer and programmer will complete and lead projects in the Audio/Visual field.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive A/V systems engineering and Crestron programming experience in the audio/video equipment industry is required. More than 3 years experience is highly desired.
  • Ideal candidates must be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of working in a fast-paced organization while effectively prioritizing a heavy workload.
  • Experience with Distributed Audio/Video systems, AutoCAD, videoconferencing, and boardroom installations is desired.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance is necessary if or when applicable.

Responsibilities
  • A/V Systems Engineer / Crestron Programmer will be responsible for developing and programming Crestron control systems to support Audio/Video installations for QTI.
  • Consults with clients to analyze functions that need to be automated, client requirements, objectives, desired features, and input/output specifications.
  • Writes and maintains functional and technical specifications.
  • Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, compatibility with other systems, and computer capabilities.
  • Develops and maintains plans outlining steps and timelines for application development, testing, and installation.
  • Researches and evaluates software and hardware options for programming or as program platforms.
  • Creates test transactions and runs tests to identify errors and ensure programs meet specifications. Analyzes code to determine the cause of errors and makes necessary revisions.
  • Collaborates with clients to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs, seeking client approval.
  • Writes and maintains documentation describing program development, logic, coding, testing, modifications, and bug fixes.
  • Writes or reviews documentation created by others that explains installation and operational procedures.
  • Provides technical assistance by addressing inquiries related to program errors, problems, or questions.
  • Trains end users or technical support staff on program usage.
  • Researches, installs, and tests upgrades for externally developed application programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
