The Project UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the ~140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project. HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure. The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0. We are looking for a Logistics Laydown Yard Leading Hand to join our team in Wagga Wagga, NSW to report into our Logistics Supervisor. The role will be to support our Logistics functions such as coordinating day to day tasks, leading a team of 10-15 drivers and operators, ensuring materials and equipment are stored properly, facilitating smooth work processes and adhering to safety compliance. This role will be hands on, with FIFO/DIDO options available working on a 19/9 roster. Qualifications And Experience Required: Current Construction Whitecard High Risk Work Licenses – C6, Telehandler, Forklift Heavy Rigid Drivers Licence Experience working on construction-based projects on laydown yards Excellent communication and team leadership abilities Previous experience in a Leading Hand/Supervisory role Sound understanding of WHS practices and risk management Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
