Schedule: Part-Time Shift: Days Location: 7727 LAKE UNDERHILL ROAD, Orlando, 32822 The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth East Orlando AdventHealth East Orlando, a 265-bed community hospital, has been serving East Orlando residents since 1941 as an innovative local leader that fills a vital need in a fast-growing area A recent 200,000 square-foot expansion project upgraded the hospital to 265 beds, with a spacious patient tower and 80 new private rooms designed to enhance the holistic care experience Annual number of emergency cases: 89,018 The role you’ll contribute: Responsible for performing various laboratory support procedures in assigned areas, including phlebotomy and specimen processing in clinical and anatomical pathology. This position must meet the required basic continuing education and department-specific requirements. This role involves practical knowledge in various laboratory procedures and support functions. In addition, this position ensures accurate and timely processing of specimens for analysis. This role maintains laboratory equipment and supplies, adhering to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities for this role include performing laboratory support procedures, meeting continuing education requirements, processing specimens, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety standards. The value you’ll bring to the team: May perform cytopreparatory staining and accessions surgical cases with knowledge of anatomy. May receive and set up primary specimen cultures, inoculating petri dishes for bacterial growth. May clean and disinfect laboratory equipment and spaces, maintaining inventory control and supply stocking. Participates in laboratory and hospital performance improvement activities, including evaluating new equipment and procedures. The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: High School Education or equivalent
