ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • AAT Level 3 or 4 qualified (or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite and XERO accounting software.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As an AAT Qualified Finance Assistant, you will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This is a junior role with high growth potential, designed for a driven individual looking to advance quickly within the finance function within a fast growing organisation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support with credit control functions.
  • Support monthly and quarterly reporting for internal use and external funders (e.g., British Business Bank).
  • Support budgeting, modelling and forecasting activities.
  • Monitor, track and analyse the performance of active loans.
  • Prepare and file returns and assist with other compliance tasks.
  • Ensure borrower files are complete and compliant with internal policies.
  • Assist with bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and maintaining ledgers.
  • Provide cover with processing invoices, expenses, and payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide cover and assistance in the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
